Disk defrag gone insane.

Hi, my disk defragmenter, which always worked well under my windows ME system, just recently has begun to re-start several times during defragmentation, making the whole job a lot longer and fairly painful to do. I always disable the screensaver as I always did, and I am not doing anything different from the past. What could cause the error? Thank you for your help in advance.

This problem is common, refer to the Press F1 FAQ, or enter disk defrag into the PressF1 search.
It basically occurs because something u have loaded that is accessing the hard disk, try a defrag in safemode
