I have recently had Pc problems and had to reinstall office 2000, (I have windows 98 se operating system) When I go to run Word it gives me and illegal operation message together with the following Winword caused an invalid page fault in module WINWORD.exe @ 016f : 303e4fbd.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and run repair to no avail. The other applications excel & power point etc in the package run fine.

Appreciate your comments on how to solve.

Delete everything in your Temp folder

Then search for copies of normal.dot - which is the template for word documents.

Delete it.

After that - reboot and the system will make a new copy of normal.dot.
