OT - Or is it really?

Just out of curiosity, Why are so many thigns being labelled OT?
AFAIK, This board (Bored? :p) is about computers and computing and other stuff like that.
Why is it that queries about MP3's people listen to, and the Smiley's :) 20Th birthday ar OT? IMHO, Those are related to computers and aren't OT. Perhaps they should be labelled something more along the lines of 'Poll' or similiar. I just don't think that Smileys are OT, coz they get used all the time here and are computer and net related.
What do the rest of you guys think?

Not really computer problems, though. Isn't that the point?
That's why I put it. Thought it was interesting but not a genuine F1 problem (except for Susan using the damn smileys, but let's not go there, I already lost that one).
