Apple Mail and Exchange in Tiger

Yes.. one of the dreadded subjects... anything to do with AD or Exchange... Well I do have to deal with both ! But for now my question is on Mail and its exchange support (AD is later this afternoon :D).
I've setup Mail for Exchange and I was quite pleasently surprised ! It actually works properly ! Even public folders iwll display ok !
What I'd like to know is if anyone knows if the mapi protocol is implemented with Mail v2... Cause out of curiosity, I configured the account using the mapi adress (which is set on our servers to "normally" accept only real mapi clients (through the "back door" ), others have to go through the "front door" because they use dav and imap) and to my surprise it worked as a charm !
Would like to hear of other people working with AD and Exchange to see what they think of the new tools available in Tiger.
