iCal on Tiger: Can't import my .ics

Hi all,

Just did an archive and install. Silly me, I didn't choose to "backup" any of my data from within the programs. I managed to get my safari bookmarks and address book back, but iCal isn't cooperating. I found my .ics files in /Previous Systems/Users/.../Library/Calendars but I when I went to import those .ics files in iCal I get, "This calendar file is unreadable. No events have been added to your iCal calendar." I opened the file in TextEdit and it does seem to have data.

What gives? Also, I can't seem to find a Calendars folder in my new /Users/diegs/Library folder.

If this is a weird bug, does anyone have a suggestion on how to salvage these .ics files? Big pain in my neck if I don't...
