Need Help. Need to reset GUEST user.

Hi,

With a G5 running on 10.4.2, I have an issue with the group "guest".
On the network, noone can see the G5's public folder (they can connect to the G5 but when in the panel "Select the volume to mount" there is nothing). If I connect with the admin username:password, I can see the HD in that volume.

I tried being smart and used the Netinfo Manager to look up the group guest. And it seemed odd to me. The property "password" was not listed. When I checked on other systems, including mine, I have that property and the gid = 31. Whereas the gid for the G5 was equal to 235 (I think...). So I erased the group guest and entered one myself. But that didn't work.

Any clue on how to reset GUEST properly?
