I just bought my wife an ibook and am trying to connect it to my wireless network. I can connect fine if I stay within 10 feet or so. With my pc I can be 3 rooms away. Is there a possibility that the antenna isn't connected properly inside? My wireless router is a linksys. WEP is turned on. It works great as long as I stay close. Is there any trick to getting it to connect and stay?

Also........ I know this is gonna sound stupid...... but are you connected to your own network?!
When I set up my airport, I accidently connected to my neighbours network a few doors down the road and I couldn't figure out why it was so slow and why it wouldn't always work........ then I noticed I was connected to his 256k connection about 40 yards away and not my 2mb connection in my lounge!!! Doh!

another possible reason could be the iBook has an AirPort card installed w/out the antenna attached.
