I have a PowerBook and a PowerMac linked by Airport. Lately i noticed that i can initiate file transfers from the desktop, but not the portable. In fact on the PB when i select Go -> Network, the resulting window is empty... Well actually, it's empty the 2nd [and subsequent] time[s] i select it. The 1st time, the window starts to open, then it just disappears! Anybody seen this before? I can get by this way, but it's annoying as most of the files are on the PowerMac...

Do you have any type of file sharing active on the machine you cannot connect to ?

Yes, both machines show the same settings for Preferences/Sharing: Personal File Sharing & Remote Login are checked.

Here's an item i wasn't clear enough on earlier: normally i see in the Finder "Network" window whatever computers are available, PLUS an item called .localized and another called Servers. However, even these items aren't to be seen on the PowerBook. Does this ring any bells?
