Connecting to Win2000 server

In OS9.2 I can mount volumes on our local Windows 2000 server without problems, but in OSX 10.1 I can't. I can see the machine in the Connect To Server: Appletalk dialog, but my login attempts always fail. I've tried disabling my firewall via Brickhouse but to no avail. Could it be a problem with the Win 2000 server not recognizing OSX as a Mac? Any ideas?
