I have a similar question... I have a friend who uses Windows (not sure which version), and he works in an environment where he is not permitted to install additional software (e.g. the iTools disk utility).
However, I'd like him to be able to drop files into a private folder on my iDisk (NOT my public folder because these are confidential files). And, I don't want him to have my dot.mac password.
Is there a simple way to do this? Or do I need to pay for an FTP service from some other provider?
Thanks!

Simply assign a password to your Public folder! Suddenly it becomes a Private Sharing folder, available only if the password is known.
Apple supplies an iDisk access utility for Windows in the Software folder.

Unfortunately, he's not allowed to install the utility...
Also, I don't want to privatize my public folder, since I often put things there that I want to be publicly accessible.
I remember being able to use Netscape several years ago to drag and drop files from the finder into an FTP site that was open in the browser's window. I'm not sure if that's even possible anymore.
Ideally, I'd like to have my friend access a private folder on my iDisk using his browser, and then drag and drop files from his Windows machine into the browser window. Or, I'd be satisfied with creating a new network connection that he can drag and drop into.

I believe the answer is that the iDisk does not do this. You'd have to be able to change subfolder permissions in the Public folder to produce a Drop Box, and I don't see a way to do that.
You'll need to use a different method.
It would be a nice feature request though.
