Administrative Access (Energy Saver)

The Energy Saver contains an option 'Wake for network administrative access'.

Q: What actually qualifies as 'network administrative access'?

I'd like to be able to sleep my machine before going to sleep myself, and then have it wake up in the morning, and gather my mail.

As it is now, I have a script that turns of Entourage schedules, then I dim my screen with the brightness keys, and wait the 5minutes until the drive sleeps (I know I can change it to 1 minute, but that's a hassle during the day when I'm using the machine). In the morning, a cron job runs a script turning on my entourage schedules, and launches iTunes.

I'm trying to work around Apple's OSX 'Auto-Wake' shortcomings, and my newest idea is to have another one of my machines wake up my TiBook, but I can't seem to get it to wake up for any type of network access.

If I can't figure it out this way, I may string a phone cable between my server and my TiBook, and have the server call the TiBook when I want it to wake up (Wake when modem detects a ring).

Thanks, guys!

ps- is there any way to spin down disks/turn off the monitor via Terminal or Applescript? I know I can 'deep sleep', but I'd still like to 'nap' the machine automagically.
