pam_mkhomedir.so for Mac OS X 10.3

Hello

I am trying to create home directories on the fly in Mac OSX 10.3.

Something like pam_mkhomedir.so in Linux.

I found this code:

http://www.metadistribution.org/macos/pam_mkhomedir/pam_mkhomedir.c

I downloaded gcc for Mac and tried to compiled the code but it gave me lots of errors.

Does anyone has a compiled pam_mkhomedir.so compatible with Darwin?

Or any other suggestions?

Many Thanks

Gustavo

Maybe I don't know what you're trying to do, but as far as I know Mac OS X automatically creates new home directories as needed when users log in and their home doesn't exist. All it does is copy the contents of /System/Library/User Template/[language].lproj to the appropriate location and change the owner and group of the new files. This works whether you're using local users or users in a directory service that have been assigned a local home.
