I'm having some frustrating problems with my "Star Wars" movies, and I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. I am able to backup the movies just fine, but the discs, both originals and backups, just seem too sensitive. What I mean is, the slightest smudge or micro scratch causes the DVD to skip. The worst case was,I just made a backup of "The Empire Strike Back", watched it, and it was fine. I put it away, and a few minutes later, I took it out and looked back through the movie and it was skipping. I have been through 3 backup copies and 2 originals of "The Phantom Menace". It just seems like the slightest smudge causes these movies to misbehave. I'm not having this problem with any other movies, just "Star Wars". In fact, I did a backup copy of "Bull Durham" that looks like it was handled by Captain Hook, and it works just fine. Anyone else noticing this about "Star Wars"?

Got nothing to do with what movie is on your media - only with the quality of the media.
Read the golden rules of burning in my signature. And yes, most DVDs behave badly when smudged or scratched. :)
