I bought Maxell DVD -R dvd's, so I want to burn my copied Dvd's onto them, BUT everytime I try to copy the copied DVD in shrink I get the Redundency data error. Any ideas as to why and how to solve this problem?

Burned disks are more delicate than factory ones. Low quality blanks
go bad quicker. Best to start all over and protect all that work from damage.

Making a copy of a copy is almost impossible if the original copy was burnt to cheap, low quality media. As suggested by rbrtpl, starting over with the original DVD is the best method. :) You can try the 2 guides below but, I doubt they will work in your case.

You can try to use DVDD iso read/write and see if you get the same error. If you do then try cleaning your disc(fingerprints, dirt, etc). If the disc's are really scratched then you could try this http://www.digitalinnovations.com/index.php. I have the manually operated one and it has saved me tons of money by removing scratches from my originals. I have never used it to remove scratches from a backup but you have nothing to lose since it already doesn't work. If that doesn't help then you will have to start all over as rbrtpl has suggested.

Edit: jmet types faster than me! :sueme:

Thanx guys for the information. FYI.. the disks I used are cheap, but are dirt and scratched free. So I am complexed as to why they get that darn redundancy error. Maxell is by far the BEST dvd to burn with. charlie and the chocolate factory burned and played excellent.

thanx

See "How to test your burn" in my signature. Run your burned disk through and see what's wrong.
