I have an N-Gage phone my brother gave me for christmas. This week he gave me the new Rifts rpg computer game for it. My word its a real rpg. I am completely addicted to it. This is the first game on N-Gage that I have played that feels like a real computer game and not some 80 arcade game. Has anyone else played it? Civilization is coming out for it soon and Settlers of Catan. But I am really looking forward to the warhammer 40k game coming in march. But Rifts could take me a while. It has 80 hours of gameplay in the main quest and has 16 classes for replayability.

Oh, so it IS good? I was hoping it would be.
But it's also an N-gage game(What the hell was Siembeida thinking?), so the chances of other people playing it are slim. A real shame, too.

Given the scope of Rifts I always kinda doubted it could effectively be made as a computer game, let alone for the N-Gage!

what the hell is it with RPG/wargames verses making stuff for the N-gage ?
As far as I've heard, its bloody awful.

it plays sort of like a 3d jagged alliance or fallout. the graphics are fully 3d but low rez. The portraits however are very good. You can have a party of 3 other characters either npc's or other players over net or bluetooth. You pick 3 proto classes at the beginning to learn the game and level 4 you can pick a real occ they are
Juicer
Battle mage
Crazy
Head Hunter
Glitter boy
Super trooper
cyber knight
Burster
Mind Melter
Mystic
Line walker
Dust Elementalist
Steam Elementalist
It is easily the best most in depth game I have ever played on a phone. It could easily be a computer game from just a few years ago. the
N-gage strategy seems to be going towards niche game markets. obscure rpg's tabletop wargames and the like.
I plan on buying Settlers of Catan next week followed by Civilization (a almost direct port of civ2) and then warhammer glory in death. But Rifts is said to take 80 hours to complete and with all the classes promises to have a lot of replayability so I could be going at it for ages.

well one of the battlesuits, not the glitterboy, has jump jets he can jump across the map but he is not a SAMAS the deadboy officers can call in airstrikes on you.A samas flys over and drops bombs on you.

Well, if it has the typical Palladium ideas about Balance included in it, as long as you had lots of ammo for the boom gun, there's no need to be anything other than the Glitter-Boy.

Well i fully understand that idea. However the Glitter Boy has really low Ap so he doesnt get many shots off. He also has difficuty targeting enemys who are to close to him.

I fear you are arguing to no avail, 'samas a whiny bitch at the best of times nowadays.
Mine own bitterness stems from such things being relegated to some bloody mobile phone thing I've never even seen in a store.

Well that is a valid argument, really the only bad thing you can say about this game is that it's on the N Gage. But then again I own an N Gage and finally it has a truely great game on it :)

Ignore Psycho, the rest of us do. He's much like a more vulgar and less intelligent Ladiesman and contributes nothing of any substance to actual discussions except inane swearing.
