I am getting a problem when printing larger (say more than one page PDF or even the test page) files from my Powerbook/Tiger laptop to my Epson 950 Photo which is shared from a Windows XP machine.
I can connect to the printer fine and start the print but then printing simply stops after a while with an error message "The process "smb" stopped unexpectedly with status 1" showing in the CUPS HTML interface and the printer queue window. I did suspect Windows to start with but I have tried two different Windows machine (one a fresh build) but see the same problem.
The problem has only recently started happening and the only thing I can think of that has changed recently on the Mac that might affect it is me upgrading my Acrobat Reader to 7.0.5 and moving to Gimp 2.2.10. The printer driver is a Gimp Print 5.0.0 beta2 version.
I have over 1Gb free on my drive so I don't think it is local disk space and remote space is no problem.
If I browse from the Windows machine to my Mac this works for a while and then says folders are not accessible - suggesting samba is the issue (or perhaps this is unrelated - who knows!).
Do anyone have any suggestions as to what this might be as I am getting a bit frustrated at using my USB flash drive to pass files across for printing :-)
Cheers
