Dual-monitor Dock Location?

So I'm a long time admirer, recent convert to the Apple world.

I have a core duo 17" iMac that I've connected up to a second monitor (2005FPW) to extend my desktop. The secondary monitor is positioned to the left of the iMac (so that the DVD drive can load/eject).

20" iMac

The problem lies in the fact that I want to position the dock on the left side of the right monitor (iMac).

If I tell the doc to position on the left side, it goes way over to the left side of the left monitor, which is too far away for ease of use.

I don't want the dock on the bottom because both monitors are widescreen and it eats up valuable real-estate.

I don't like the dock on the right side because that's where I traditionally store files on the desktop.

I can't find any utilities that let me position the dock arbitrarily where I want.

Anyone?
