ibook g3 won't turn on sometimes

My ibook g3 sometimes does not turn on. I then reset the pram and it will turn on again. What could possibly be going on here? It doesn't seem to happen with any pattern. I'm wondering if this is something repairable and if so what exactly needs to be replaced. Thanks for any help!
