I'm having difficulty getting my Mac to remember my Displays Preference in switching between users. For my own use, I have a color setting that I calibrated; when I switch to another User, it resets to the default (generic RGB) and even though it shows my calibrated setting in Displays Preferences it won't stay on it (i.e. if I click on it and then exit and then go back to Displays, it has reverted to the generic again). Then when I switch back to my user account, the sam thing - it reverts to the generic and won't stay on my calibrated setting so I have to reboot.
Thank in advance for your help.

When you say "switching between users" you're using Fast User Swtiching, correct?
Does it do this if you log the user out and then another user logs in?
Or from a reboot and another user login?

It happens only with Fast Switching, not with logging out and logging in as a different user. And I'm using OSX 10.4.5. Thanks.

I recall an article on the main macosxhints site not too long ago (within the last 30 days) that had something to do with colour profiles and Fast User Switching.

So do I, and I wish now that I had saved it! But I can't find it now - if anyone could send me a link that would be great.

Its here (http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20060103162354164).
Love the fact that when you click on the Print Hint link and save it as a file to your computer that it includes they OSXHints page link at the bottom. Quite usefull !

Thanks. My issue wasn't quite as severe as the article noted - no "blinding screen of death", just the washed out generic color profile - but this took care of it.
