region change & DVD for free wont detect this DVD

I tried to play a dvd using dvd43 and it would not start, it said that it is a region 2 dvd or region 4
Dvd for free does not detect the video dvd, does this dvd video have some extra bits which prevents dvd43 from detecting the dvd. is there an upgrade to dvd43 which will enable dvd43 to detect such a dvd?

Once you change the region of your dvd 6 times, I guess it locks, then is there any way to change the region of your dvd back to the 6 permitted changes

I have got 4 region changes left on my laptops dvd, i would like to reset the number to 6.
