Hi .. A friend at work ask me what he can do with his computer when it comes to loading video's from his camera onto his computer , At the moment Its a P3 Asus board ,with windows xp home sp2 , He has Nero 6 or 7 not sure , Camera gets connected on IEEE 1394 port , He said it takes forever to download a video from his camera onto his hard drive ( 3 or 4 hours ) I told him thats normal , Is there anything he can do to unload his videos quicker ? Thanks

I dont think so.
I can only rip from my camcorder at the speed it is playing, so a 2 hour video tape takes 2 hours to rip to my computer.

When you are dealing with this kind of video fast is not a good thing.
If you could rip it faster it would probably give a very poor quality.

Just wait & see how long it takes if they want to put it to a dvd.
