hi, friends

I am considering to apply for this year's full-time MBA programmes in UK. I just finished my GMAT test with a result of 620. And Band 7.0 for the IELTS. I also obtained a B.A.degree and have already worked for 3 years.

I am not familiar with UK business schools which provide full-time MBA programmes. I am not quite sure which tier of b-schools shall i put focus on and how many b-schools i'd better apply for. I have contacted Cambridge Judge, Bath,City and Imperial, and they gave me an encouraging reply. I know i met their minimun requirements , but am also afraid of being rejected. Is it a risk to apply such top schools in my case?

Thanks very much.:D

Hi,

You're marks and background will probably enable you to get into a wide range of UK business schools.

In our experience people usually apply to between 2-5 schools in the UK though this depends on how set they are on a particular school, how flexible they are with respect to location etc.

All the schools you have approached are good quality schools. Applying early will probably enable you to get an indication or offer from a school prior to the application deadline. This would enable you to apply to more schools if you don't get into your first few choices.

You can use the StudyLink online application service (http://applyonline.studylink.com) to apply to Bath and City Business School. This service records your core details which saves time should you need to apply to another school at short notice. It also means the application gets to the school's quicker.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Jason
