My Pioneer DV717 just gave it up, keep getting constant pixleation from any DVD currently using Xbox 360 to play discs but want to get a replacement asap.
Do not want to pay to much as will want to invest more when the HD DVD players start to evolve downwards in price.
However would like a Player with HDMI connectivity that has DTS ability, does anyone have any suggestions, am viewing on a 43" Pioneer.
Thanks

?1.50 at Amazon, alot of the reviews slate it, quality of DV717 was so good, do not want to go backwards in terms of picture quality.
It seems there is not a real HDMI solution that works across the board unless large amounts of cash is spent.
Don't want to wait until the true HD players come out as don't want to get involved into the Blue-Ray,HD-DVD (Betamax/VHS) fight and get left with a Door stop.
Although Blue-Ray films seem to be readily available on all the US websites, so they so seem to have the leading edge.

Would there not be loss of quality from converting from DVI to HDMI?
Thanks
