I've read the excellent review posted on here about this model but there doesn't seem to be any other mention of it.
Has anyone got one?
I'm seriously considering one in the next couple of weeks yet can't seem to find many/any reviews online

I've had one for about 3 weeks now. At one time I had this, a Cambridge Audio DV89 and a Denon 1920 all stacked up for comparison :)
Marantz is superior by miles - although I still get a slight lip-sync issue :thumbsdow A new AV amp with an audio delay will sort that problem soon though.
Buy it online - test it - send it back if you don't like it.

Hi,
Would you say that it is worth the extra 120 over the Denon, it is almost 50% more? I also heard that the machines are almost identical, maybe the firmware is holding the Denon back.
Thanks for any advice.

from a bit of readng i gather that it could be a nardware issue in that while the image is being upscaled the audio isn't delayed by the same amount.
in that case the denon's issue may never be solved
also the other reviewer of the marantz said there was no noticeable lip-sync issues

On another post on this forum a Denon techie has been quoted that there is no hardware/software solution to the 1920 lipsync issue.
I've used my DV6600 now with R1/2/4 DVD titles, on a wide variety of music and movie titles and no sign of lipsync issue whatsoever.
