Inexpensive DVD player with Upscaling

Later this year I am planning on buying an all singing all dancing DVD recorder with a HDD. I am going to wait a while as I think some new models are coming out. But I need something to tide me over until then. I have a Sony CRT but plan to get a Plasma in about 12 months. I want a reasonable DVD player which offers upscaling. I will keep it when I purchase my main machine later in the year. Any recommendations?

What sort of price are you looking at spending.
I can recomend the Denon dvd1920, Try the component output on whatever player you choose as analogue outputs can give as good if not better picture than hdmi.

You could do a lot worse than the new tosh 360, or even the old 350. I think upscaling is a waste of time as all screens have there own scalers and do there own thing with the signal you send them. I would doubt you crt has a native resolution capable of displaying anything above pal.
