I have a question from which i need to find out some much need information please guys..
I realise with an upscaling home-cinema/dvd player using HDMI (digital) we can achieve 720p,and that component is the next best thingto HDMI even though is anologue, but can we utilise the upscaling with component so we still see 720p or are we stuck with 420 standard veiwing from an upscaling dvd player/home-cinema ?
Can we achieve an upscaled image through component ?
Yes, you can.
But not many chipset in this world do that. Only player with Sigma Hi Def Chipset can do that. Like Snazzio 1350 series. Because theoritically there is two way to upscale:
1. Digital to Digital (common practice using HDMI upscaler player)
2. Digital to Analog or Analog to Analog (request powerfull upscaler chipset)
Or you can buy DCDI Faroudja Upscaler machine that have Component Input and Component Output.
