Hi guys, I've been having real trouble getting my 1920 HDMI to work. After spending all day pulling cables through walls i now find that my shiny DVD player doesn't want to play ball, it is connected to my LG32LX via a new HDMI cable that i purchased today, i have only ever connected my DVD player to my TV via svideo and assumed that it would be a matter of plug and play with the new cable....not quite.
I cannot get any kind of signal on the TV, all connections are good, it works on svideo fine, but when i change the TV input to HDMI DTV i get the no signal message. The HDMI indicator light does go on and off slowly but randomly, this is different to when i unplug the HDMI cable completely and get the obvious flashing that the manual describes. I have reached the limit of my knowledge and could really do with some help on this ppppleassssseeee any one!!

UPDATE**
Just found this on a forum link:
"This something to let you all know:
It is a known problem of incompatibility between the LG and the Denon 1920 . It concenrs only HDCP content of PAL DVDs through HDMI. LG is aware of this problem and has released bios updates that take care of it. The bios that need to be installed is the latest ( version 3.71 ) although LG said that bios version 3.70 also eliminates the problem. Further more I read that DENON has resently released bios upgrade for the 1920 model, that improves HDMI compatibillity. So I suggest before trying to upgade the firmaware of the LG , better try upgrading the Denon player first :)..."
How do you upgrade firmware for these devices?? and could this be the answer to my problems??

I've just upgraded my Denon 1930 firmware to multiregion, it only took 10 mins, and I guess the 1920 would be similarly straightforward. Download firmware as linked in post above. Unzip / UnRar file and burn to CD, follow instructions for how to place 1920 into update mode, load disc and close tray, wait 5 mins for upload and then unplug and replug power lead. Can't say for certain that it will affect your HDMI concern, but at least your player will be multi-region.
I have a problem with my 1930 through HDMI, it will output only at 1080i max, however when plugged into DVI using the same HDMI lead and adaptor it will give 1080P but colour space changes from YCbCr to RGB !?

Thanks guys, sorry to put you out! ;)
After speaking to the lovely people at Denon they supplied the multiregion update to me by email, which i have subsequently used on the DVD player, unfortunately this has not solved the HDMI issue :(
LG have called me back and believe there is a fix regarding the LCD screen, and a engineer is popping round sometime next week. So it looks like the DVD player wasn't the culprit after all.
I presume youve pressed the button on the front of the DVD player to make HDMI work havnt you ? ;)
