Hi.
I just bought a new 32" HD TV a few week's ago and since then i've really been into watching movies with my 360.
My question is:
Should i get a stand alone DVD player or just stick with the 360? how does the 360 compare to the Sony Dvp-ns76h player? What are the extra benefits.
You might get a subtle improvement with the upscaling capability on a sub ?50 machine - more notably the audio will a step up from the 360, but again depends on whether you have a surround system, or just using you LCD for sonic output
With a bigger screen the difference will be more pronounced - with a 32" screen TBH I'd stick with the 'noisy' 360, unless of course you've got m0ney to burn ;)

why not get the separate hd dvd drive for your 360. only costs around 160 pounds

What would be an equivalent standalone player in terms of playback compared to the 360? I'm quite impressed with the 360 DVD player via vga but need something multi-region.
TIA.

I have a 360 connected via component and a NS76 connected via HDMI. The NS76 is streets ahead in picture and sound quality. It's also silent, which is a bonus:thumbsup:
I can't comment on it's quality vs an upscaling 360 as I don't have a VGA cable. All I can say is there was a massive improvement over my old Pioneer RGB Scart connected player.
You could probably pick up a multiregion player for about 80 quid. Depends if you think it's worth it?
