Upgrade my Pioneer 565a

I am currently looking to upgrade my Pioneer DV-565a DVD player. I am looking to spend up to ?50 and am not bothered about upscaling, high def or any other gimmick as it will be connected via RGB scart to my TV. I want good picture quality and good musical ability as well as it will act as my CD player as well. Above all it must be an improvement on my old player not just a sideways step to something newer. Anyone got any recommendations, I have already thought about either the Denon 1730 or 1930. Many thanks

what about the pio 696, it's the latest version of the 565, plays sacd/dvda plus has hdmi, upscaling, divx and everything else

or i'd also consider the denon 1930, altho it can suffer from lip synch issue. i don't have one so can't comment too much on it. dunno if the 1730 has the same problems
