Hi there,
I have the same DVD upscaler but the multi region version and i agree with the light thing, but also have not found a way to dim the light. I also have the samsung av amp aswell.
Was wondering if you had any problems setting the whole lot up from new as i cant seem to get the dvd player working with the HDMI connection. I've only managed to get the player working with the amp using the old scart leads and a digital co-axial lead which kind of defeats the object a bit. any help would be a massivley appreciated.:lease:
Bought a the 46"lcd,dvd and amp all Samsung from Empire direct now im chuffing stuck cos it wont work. The technical support people dont seem to want to answer the phone either. Funny that, seeing as they already have the money now.
Thanks
Johnny B
I dont have the player but was looking at it as a runner fora new upscaler and the reviews Ive read say sadly it cant be dimmed.
Is it ridiculously bright or just a bit off putting?

i have the 950 and it can't be dimmed. options are to cover it up with black tape, or open it up and disable the light, OR if you keep the player turned on, the light doesn't show
if you have a porblem connecting via HDMI, read the manual and make sure you have it set to hdmi - i suggest connecting via scart whilst setting up hdmi.
also i see some people saying that turning the hdmi cable the other way round sometimes works (tho it shouldn't make a differece), and also it depends on if the tv and/or player is on or off when connecting. so connect with eveything turned off, then turn on and view by scart, switch to hdmi and it should work, or try all the different options of connecting with stuff on/off
