Hi all, help please, I have my Oppo 981HD connected to my Denon 1907 via 6 analogue (VanDamme) interconnects but can't seem to get good sound from SACD - it is distorted. When i select the CD layer of the disc in Oppo setup and output via coaxial it sounds great but obviously not multi-channel. Can anyone advise the settings to use in the Oppo - I am using the latest firmware.

yeh yesterday so don't expect answer 'till say later tomorrow.
I've tried all the different settings available and non of them work.
Has anyone else tried a SACD through theirs yet?

Played a number of SACDs through mine (and DVD-A). Definitely better sound than my old Denon 2200.
Must be your unit (or amp input)

Just worth checking the following?
On the general set up page make sure SACD priority is multi channel (no disc in to alter this).
On the Speaker set up page make sure the down mix is set to 5.1 CH

Thanks guys think i've sorted it - the volume level on the oppo was at maximum by default, only turned it down by accident as don't normally pay much attention to vol levels on the player itself - and distortion disappeared!
I've just got fingers crossed that that's all it is:smashin:
