Pioneer 989

Can anyone confirm that the Pioneer 989 will play dual layer DVD+R without any problems including the layer change?

My Pioneer 868 plays these ok except for the layer change when it freezes. You then have to ffwd through the layer change on double speed. This is becoming slightly annoying!

Thanks

Colin

+R plays fine on my 989 DVD player.

I did have some problems with cheap +R DVDs (Datawrite), but no issues at all with the Sony and TDK.

BTW - These are home movies of the family.

Thanks for the reply.

Were those dual layer +R you were using or just single layer? Single layer work fine for me - it's dual layer giving me the problems.

Regards.
