Got my Arcam back from repair, connected it back to my Pioneer screen via JS (master component controller) box (component) but can not get any picture whatsoever.
How can I can the unit to go in such a mode that I can configure the settings on the screen again? I just can not remember how I did it when I got the unit ... (I don't even get the Arcam splash screen on the display).
I saw in the manual that they recommend using a composite cable to configure the unit - but I don't think I did that last time, nor does the MXE have a composite input ...

Try pressing the stop button twice, or keep it pressed (gently- it is very sensitive!!
I did keep it pressed for 5 seconds as per manual, it is supposed to go from progressive to interlaced. No change though. Not sure if that is the problem. Any other "hidden" tricks to get the thing to work again?
Otherwise a call to Joe ...
The 433MXE does have a composite (BNC) connector on the PDA-5002 board. Hope you get it sorted. :)
Steve
Yep - all sorted now thanks to Message from Joe. I moved the Green component feed into the composite on the Arcam which at least allowed me to see a (terrible) fussy picture. There I could change the output to component and off I went.
Dutch - what does "ISF'ed" mean after your MXE in your sig? I also notice some other toys which I was not aware of in relation to the MXE. When I had my screen calibrated, Gordon tried an progressive scanner but we could not get it to work properly - have things improved in that area?
Glad you got it sorted. ISF stands for the Imaging Science Foundation and it is the type of calibration that Gordon and others carry out to set correct greyscale and RGB levels on displays. Not sure what you mean by "progressive scanner".
