HD Divx playback on upscaling dvd player - Any good?

Hi.

I'm after a divx player that can handle HD divx files.

Will an upscaling dvd/divx player play high res divx files 'properly' ie will they be displayed at full resolution?

Does anybody have any experiences to share on HD divx playback?

If anybody can vouch for one that handles packed bitstream files that'd be great :thumbsup:

I'm currently using my laptop via vga as a stop gap.

Hi mate,

Most normal Upscalers don't play HDDivX you'll have to spend more than ?50
I'm thinking of buying the denon 1730 which doesn't play HDDivX. Best way to find out is go to the DivX website and see which ones they recommend

Buffalo AV Player 2 can do HD divx and you can get a few other media players. Upscaling dvd players as a rule cannot do HD divx.
