Put 31 people together. Three groups form -- 1. a large group of senior execs about 12 men and 1 woman, 2. another large group of 20-somethings (only whites allowed, though), 3. a mini-clique for the 3 black women. Then me and another middle-age lady who are not senior execs are left out of all groups. Quite often (at least once a week) the two big groups merge into one big loud blob going out after work. The other disenfranchised lady spends a lot of time complaining about the black women, and I don't like hearing it, so basically I am alone. End of story.
Thank you for putting up with my rants on this topic since last October when I first discovered HealthBoards. It's not like the problem has gone away or improved in any way. It is more like I have had to learn to BITE MY TONGUE and just keep busy, and then, when I leave here, LEAVE IT HERE (at work), don't bring it home and whine to husband about it. What's the use fo trying to figure out why I am left out, after all of these months; they are leaving me out no matter what I do so I am no longer willing to engage in any of it anymore.
Only an hour until the weekend begins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bouncing:

The best thing about beating your head against a wall is it feels so good when you stop! :D

That would really suck. In my office, the age range is from 21 to 45. I guess I'm about in the middle and am a white male. There are several nationalities, but nobody really sees that. We all get along fine, although there are two groups. Managers, and the people who listen to the managers. We all hang out together, help each other, and even do things outside of work together. I love my work environment! I've been there for six months and they've made me feel at home from the start. I've actaully slept with two of the girls there, and we're all still the best of friends!

He he he -- I must have forgotten that part! (sleeping with the co-workers) . . . I'll have to discuss it with my husband! Anything to be included in the lunches and happy hours! LOL :D
