Having grown up in a household where christmas wasn't celebrated due to religous reasons, I have a terrible time buying gifts were people !!
I need some ideas on buying a gift for my b-friend. We've only been dating for 5 months ....but when I have asked my sisters / friends for advice they say "well, what's he in to" ....fact is, other than being into me (sounds wierd, but true right now) I'm not really sure what he's "in to" ....I want a gift that shows him how much I care, but not something he throws on a shelf and forgets.
He is so many bottles of nice cologne, already wears a nice watch, my sister suggested getting him a framed pciture of me, however, I think that's cheesy and can not .....Any suggestions?

But if you can't think of anything he would need/use, then maybe there is some activity you could do. Get him tickets to a sporting event that he would enjoy. Something along those lines. Or you could do something kinky, but I'll leave that to you.

Try sifting through his music collection and trying to find something he'll squeal over.
And pay attention to offhand comments he said.
For instance,
I had no idea what to get my boyfriend for christmas, when he mentioned he was having trouble finding a good copy of the mp3 Ophelia by the Band. All the ones he found were like someone had ripped it off of vinyl, and then screwed with all the settings, and encoded it.
So I went down to HMV and bought him their greatest hits album. He was positively *giddy*.
If you're in doubt, take him shopping with you, sure, under the premise of you're doing it for other friends. I did this as well, around his birthday, and in the middle of spending lots of money at the body shop (I LOVE THAT PLACE) he was asking the saleslady questions about some of their products that he was interested in trying. So I grabbed them off the shelf for him. Even if he knows what he's getting, it's better than getting something he doesn't want!
